Management & Inspection
Simon Wong Engineering has a staff of bridge engineers that offers a combined 125 years of experience. Our staff currently provides construction engineering services for local agency contracts as well as several private contracts. Our field personnel have extensive experience with Caltrans Division of Structures Construction and have worked on large scale projects throughout the State of California. Our engineers successfully deal with all aspects of bridge construction projects, from “hands on” field work and problem solving to the administrative work necessary for construction contracts.
Our field engineers offer first-hand experience in bridge inspection and quality assurance, construction surveying and grade control, field testing of materials, and familiarity with all phases of bridge construction - from substructure and underground work to finish work and punch-listing completed bridges. Along with extensive knowledge of construction procedures, we have in-depth experience with contract administration. This experience includes writing and executing change orders, progress estimates and payments, daily and weekly construction reports and correspondence with owners and contractors.
The bridge construction staff at Simon Wong Engineering is capable in dealing with the technical specialties unique to our industry. We are familiar with both falsework design and analysis, the review of concrete mix designs, shop drawings for prestressing, bearing assemblies and expansion joints and architectural details like handrails and special finishes.
