Congratulations to Colby Cushing on receiving his PE! Colby has been with Simon Wong Engineering’s Bridge Division since 2008, and has working on the North Torrey Pines Retrofit, Van Buren Overhead, Westside Parkway (Phase IV), and Hazard Center Drive Extension projects.
SWE Gives Soles to Souls in Haiti Minimize

SWE would like to thank you for your generous donation of shoes! With your help we donated 309 pairs of shoes to the men, women, and children of Haiti.

For future reference, please keep Soles4Souls in mind. With a simple mission of impacting as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes, Soles4Souls collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of people like us. They distributes the shoes free of charge to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away over 5.5 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes (currently donating one pair every 9 seconds.)
SWE Brings Joy this Holiday Season to the Patients at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego Minimize

At this year’s SWE holiday party, we asked our employees to give back by bringing an unwrapped board game for the patients at Rady Children’s Hospital – and wow, did they deliver! SWE was able to give nearly 80 board games to the hospital. Rady Children’s is extremely thankful for the generosity and has promised that each one will bring happiness and joy to the life of a child who needs it so desperately!

Wong Walker ROCK 2009 for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Superhero.  That's what the staff at the Susan G. Komen foundation now calls the more than 25 Wong Walkers who braved a cold San Diego morning to make a difference in the life a woman battling breast cancer. Together we ran, walked, and ROCKED 3.1 miles in honor of Molly and Peggy.

To everyone who walked, to everyone who donated, on behalf of the thousands of women and their families who will benefit from your generosity and kindness all year - thank you. Save the race date – 11.7.10
SWE Participates in Engineering Day at the Mall Minimize

Meeting Future Engineers

SWE Bridge Division employees Anya Sidoranova, Lise Muco, and Steve Hall hosted a booth at Grossmont Center for National Engineers Week. Throughout the day, SWE staff spoke with young students about engineering and helped out with different activities.

This event was sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers Younger Member Forum (ASCE-YMF).

As part of an effort to reform the Southeastern Economic Development Corp. (SEDC), San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders has appointed eight replacements to the agency's nine-member board of directors. Among the selected board members was our own Simon Wong.

Sunday, March 9, 2008 marked history for San Diegans - but for Simon Wong Engineering, it was the result of a job well done. At 4:33 a.m. the Sprinter made its inaugural run from Oceanside to Escondido allowing the community to take a ride for the first time, ever.

Celebrating 10 Years at SWE Minimize

Congratulations, Frank!

SWE would like to congratulate Construction Managment Division employee, Frank Sostrom, on his 10-year anniversary at the company. Frank has been a dedicated employee working on such projects as Caltrans District 11 On-call Construction Managment Services, Oceanside-Escondido Sprinter Rail Line, Carlsbad Municipal Golf Course, and Phases I and II of the Rancho Santa Fe Road Realignment.
